Our Online Banking will be unavailable from July 29th at 4 PM through July 31st, 2022, for a system upgrade. Registration for our new online banking platform will begin on August 1st.

Important news about a system upgrade due to the Plus4 and Houston Metropolitan Federal Credit Union Merger!

Dear HMFCU Member/Owner,

We are excited to announce that with the completion of the Houston Metropolitan Federal Credit Union (HMFCU) and Plus4 Credit Union merger, we are upgrading to a new core system on August 1, 2022. Our new core system will help us operate more efficiently, improve our products and services and ultimately bring you a better banking experience.

While the bulk of the conversion will take place behind the scenes, there will be times that it will affect some of the services you use. Our priority throughout this process is to limit the impact on our members.

Important Items to Note

  • Online Banking - Our enhanced online banking experience will allow you to gain the freedom to manage your finances anytime, on any device, with easy access to balances, transfers, payments, alerts, and more. As a result, you will need to re-register to access your accounts online and on your mobile device. Registration will begin on August 1, 2022, at

  • Bill Pay - The enhanced online banking experience will also require you to enroll in our new bill pay service. Payees and recurring payments will need to be re-added, so we recommend you make a copy of all your payees and recurring payments before the upgrade on August 1, 2022. After that date, you will not be able to access your old bill pay information.

  • eStatements - Our current Online Banking platform will not be converted over to the new platform and statements will not carry over. We encourage you to download any eStatements you wish to keep before August 1, 2022.

Download our new mobile app on Apple’s App Store or Google Play where you can deposit checks from your phone, transfer money, and manage all of your finances in one convenient location. Available for use on August 1, 2022.

Here's What's Staying the Same

Your Member Number and existing Debit Card will remain the same, your debit card PIN included! Your Direct Deposit will also not be affected, and you can continue to use any checks you may already have. Your loan payments and any automatic transfers you have set up will continue to process on the same day.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are excited to announce that the Plus4 Credit Union and Houston Metropolitan Federal Credit Union merger was officially approved by the Credit Union Department State of Texas on July 1, 2021.

It will be our privilege to fully integrate both institutions in July 2022. Until the system integration is complete, Houston Metropolitan FCU will operate as a division of Plus4 CU. You will continue to have access to the products, services, and employees you have come to expect and deserve at your current locations. Use of any of the six locations will be available to everyone after the computer system integration in July 2022.
